It was operated for decades by the Odeon cinema chain, was closed in 2003, abandoned, and after a renovation, re-opened by new owners in 2011. The theatre is permanently closed on May 30, 2019 and no longer standing. It has since been replaced with condos and retail shops in the Bloor West Village.
