Collection: Peru Collection
Peru as a country boasts a mix of cultures, climates, and architecture. What makes it an incredible place is that modern Peru seamlessly blends its diverse history. Each culture and historical period are still visible and alive throughout the country. Traveling through Peru, I noticed a recurring theme was not only the country’s architecture, but the way it was adapted to changing circumstances. Dwellings are now usually constructed with whitewashed adobe bricks; roofs are constructed with wood, straw, and hand-made clay tiles.
When in Lima, we travelled to the districts of Barranco - home to famous Peruvian writers and artists, explored the famous Inca Market in the heart of Miraflores, and the Centro histórico de Lima - the old downtown of Lima metropolis.
Exploring the shops, feasting on the delicious Peruvian food and Pisco Sours, wandering to sample decadent chocolates in the Centre of the city and gathering inspiration.
